Most patients are referred by their General Practitioner for an appointment but Melanie will see ladies who have self referred. Melanie has extremely good relationships the local general practitioners in West Sussex many of whom she trained alongside. On receipt of your referral you will find your case is handled in an efficient and timely manner. Patients referred to St Richards Hospital will be seen within Government targets and Melanie has a 100% record of achieving these in the last 5 years.
Private patients referred will be offered appointments earlier to see Melanie personally. In certain circumstances emergency appointments are available. Patients will be seen as quickly as possible and offered an appointment convenient to their wishes, whenever this is appropriate. At the Nuffield Hospital a specially designed women’s health service is available with all the comfort and expertise which you could require. Many gynaecological problems can be dealt with in a single consultation. During your consultation you may have an ultrasound or simple tests or procedures. You will be fully informed as to the nature of any problems discovered and if you wish will be given a written medical report, including all your test results and recommendations.
